A solar eclipse is when the moon gets in between the earth and the sun blocking the suns light. This means the moon casts a shadow over the earth and everything will be really dark!
There are between 2 and 5 solar eclipses every year, but the really rare one is the total eclipse where the moon completely blocks the sun. This will only happen in the same place every 400 years or so!
There is one this Friday morning, I can’t wait! It’s not a total eclipse but will still be cool. Oooo and remember don’t look directly at the sun you can blind yourself!
Yes guys, your question has already been answered above by James and Elizabeth.
If you are able to try and watch the eclipse on Friday though please please try to! It will be one of the coolest and spookiest things you will do for a while. But as James says, don’t look directly at the sun!!
