Meteors are actually really really old. Most of them formed during the early days of the solar systems along with the planets.

After the sun was formed there was a lot of leftover gas and solid stuff floating in space which slowly orbited around the sun and came together to form the planets of our solar system.

Some smaller pieces that didn’t join together formed meteors!

        Thanks!

Meteors are formed from rock or metallic atoms.

They are pieces off planets, moon and stars which have broken off.
