I hope so, but no one knows!

I think that because there are so many other planets out in space that we have and haven’t discovered there has to be life somewhere. Our planet has life, but our planet is extremely special. It is exactly the right distance from the sun so it isn’t too hot or too cold allowing life to survive, but there must be a planet which is the same somewhere else in space right?

So I think there must be life somewhere else in the universe, it just maybe very very very far away.

        The universe is huge!
Many years ago we did not know that America existed. I imagine there were people in Scotland and Ireland wondering if there was life across the sea. Scientists have sent robots to the Moon and Mars to look for “Signs of life” – these are chemicals that are found on most living things on earth. We have sent recorded messages into space, telling aliens where we live and what we look like – we haven’t received a reply back yet but who know.

There may be living things on other planets however it has just not been found yet. Scientists are constantly researching into this.

There are other solar systems out there so you never know there might be another planet like Earth with living things!
